Church websites – more and more people google the church.  “if its not online its not real” – church with no website still has a very busy church as they are out in the community with leaflets etc. – use internet to help churches make a parish profile.

  •  God Channel – God TV

  • Contest between old fashioned and projector

  •   Ministers using text/E-mails to let people know what is going on

  • Overhead projectors in Church

  •  Churches have web pages

  • Ministers and youth workers should use a varity of technolgy

Saturday Morning Debate

What is the future of media? –

*      More collaborative style – everything will all be together online

*      Equipment will be smaller, touch screen

*      We will rely on media more and more

*      Changes in advertising – targeted advertising, when you log onto google it keeps every search you do and it adapts the adverts to what you search.

*      More big screens in places like train stations for news and adverts, may be multi media.

*      “Smaller but bigger” – technology is getting smaller but the impact it has on our lives is better bigger.

*      Lot more information coming to us in the future, how do we know what is real and what is not?

*      Big Brother society, CCTV everywhere

*      Tags on  people

*      Do everything via mobile

How will that affect information?

*      Quicker

*      Effective

*      More balanced opinions

*      A lot of inaccurate info more personal info about you

*      Getting info faster, anywhere while multi tasking

*      Lots more but is it all true?

*      All in one place

How will that affect Relationships?

*      Keeping in touch is easier

*      Lot less personalised but you talk a lot more to people

*      Online relationships

*      Creates multiple personalities – more superficial
